Chris Brown volunteers at a Domestic Violence Center

It looks like Chris is done with all the random outbursts of anger because he’s been giving back this week! He went to a center dedicated to teaching people how to intervene and prevent domestic violence and gave out school supplies.

The CEO of the center says that Chris and his mom have been involved with the center for a while.

She said:

“It is our focus on family violence and its impact on youth that compelled us to open our hearts and our doors to Chris Brown and his mother, Joyce Hawkins. Chris and his mom have spent many quiet hours at our facilities, no cameras, no special attention or entourages – they just came to learn. Jenesse is thankful to Chris for spending time with our youth and celebrating the end of summer and returning back to school. In addition to the back to school festival, Brown also sponsored The Change Youth Conversations event during the summer. The event, which drew more than 200 teenagers, was aimed at topics around dating violence and healthy relationships.”

It’s good to hear something positive about Chris Brown. Of course what he did is messed up, but I’m glad he’s attempting to right his wrong. Plus his victim Rihanna has forgiven him as she told us during her recent interview on Oprah.

Chris says:

“It’s in my heart to show my fans, my friends and family and the families at Jenesse who stood by me, that they were right to give me another chance. I’m working hard to make them proud.”

Please keep it up Chris…You’ve had enough bad press the last couple of years!
